I’m a free-lance photographer based in Brussels, Belgium. I cooperate with different local and international NGOs, with private sector, universities and public institutions.

Born and raised in Rome, I moved after graduation to South East Europe where I spent more than 10 years carrying out a number of projects about post-conflict reconciliation, migration and social inclusion.

I started photographing my first year in Kosovo because I needed to document stories and people I met and express my emotions.

Over time photography has become a way to give voice to those who are not listened, give them the opportunity to tell their stories. I had the great opportunity to meet people like Francesco Zizola, Fausto Podavini, Gianni Pinnizzotto who inspired me in different ways and taught me how to approach stories from a different prospective.

From 2011 to 2013 I worked on a photo project on poverty and social exclusion in the Tirana suburb of Istitut. This work was selected and exposed at the Lucca Photo Lux Festival in 2013.

In 2015 I documented the refugees crises in Macedonia and the south of Serbia in cooperation with Caritas Italiana and Caritas Internationalis.

Since 2014 I have been working on the project on communist abandoned sites Night of a Regime.

In 2017 I made a series of portraits about the de-institutionalization of mental health care in Serbia.
